OPPORTUNITY:
Title: Manager, Marketing
Reports to: Marketing Director
Location: Golf Canada Head Office
Status: Full Time
Start Date: July 14, 2025
OVERVIEW:
The Manager, Marketing is a strategic, creative, and mission-oriented individual who will work in collaboration with the various business units through national marketing, creative and communication efforts. Reporting directly into the Marketing Director, the successful candidate will understand marketing objectives by collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver on a holistic strategy that supports the objectives of the business.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Marketing 45%
• Contribute to Golf Canada’s national and divisional marketing strategy through insight-driven messaging, content, and creative.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align campaigns with business goals and ensure smooth execution.
• Draft campaign briefs, manage stakeholder feedback, and review assets for brand accuracy and readiness.
• Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including timelines, feedback, and cross-channel delivery.
• Lead post-campaign analysis and apply insights to optimize future initiatives.
• Ensure creative materials align with brand standards and strategic positioning.
• Uphold brand integrity while supporting divisions with program materials.
• Analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Oversee marketing request intake and ensure accurate briefing and delivery.
• Support the growth and promotion of First Tee National and Regional programs.
• Drive excellence in marketing execution across all plans.
• Assist in executing e-commerce strategy.
2. Communication 35%
• Strong writer capable of independently producing web articles, emails, social content, and editorials.
• Contribute to the development and execution of integrated communication plans across Golf Canada divisions.
• Support content strategy with compelling storytelling aligned to the Masterbrand and sub-brands.
• Assist in developing and executing social media, email, and broader communications strategies.
3. Project and People Management 20%
• Break down complex projects into actionable steps and track progress to completion.
• Lead and manage a consolidated marketing activity calendar.
• Oversee cross-functional project execution, ensuring timeliness and budget adherence through regular stakeholder check-ins.
• Develop go-to-market strategies with a focus on marketing and communications.
• Coach the Sr. Marketing Coordinator – First Tee to deliver on key priorities.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
• 4-5 years experience in a marketing and/or communications role. Agency experience is an asset.
• University/College degree in marketing, communications, business management.
• Excellent ability to produce written materials on deadline that cater to different audiences.
• Strong digital acumen across various social platforms with experience optimizing creative and copy for greatest consumer impact.
• Ability to work with various functions and execute campaign programs accordingly.
• Strong communicator with a proven record of building meaningful relationships.
• Strategic and creative thinker with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience developing content for a variety of media and social platforms.
• Strong understanding of social media best practices and reporting tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills (French and English) are considered an asset.
• Golf knowledge is considered an asset but not required.
• Hybrid working environment, 2+ days in office as required.
